Earth Day Drummm Journey & Sound Healing Ceremony

Get your rhythmical juices flowing! We will honor the Earth, our community and ourselves as we explore the wild wonderful world of drumming, rhythm and sound as catalysts for connection and healing. The first half of the program will include an “all hands” participatory drumming journey, followed by a restorative sound healing practice in which participants will be invited to get comfy, relax and receive the healing vibrations of the presenters’ nurturing sounds.
No prior musical experience is necessary. Instruments will be provided or you may bring your own. Prepare to go deep and be deeply satisfied!

About the Facilitators:
JENI SWERDLOW, MA-ATR is a dynamic and engaging percussionist, drumming facilitator and registered art therapist. Founding DRUMMM® Rhythmic Events in 2000, her interactive drumming programs have engaged many thousands of participants at a variety of events in the U.S. and abroad. She is a REMO-Endorsed Drum Circle Facilitator, and trained HealthRHYTHMS and Village Music Circles facilitator.
SUSAN JETTE, MT-BC is a board certified music therapist and certified sound healer with over 30 years’ experience. She’s trained as a rhythm facilitator with Village Music Circles, HealthRHYTHMS and Music for People. Susan specializes in in Orchestral Percussion, Sound Healing, Japanese Taiko, Indonesian Gamelan, Rock and Musical Theater. She currently performs with Santa Rosa Symphony and several other musical projects.
ROBERT HAMAKER earned his B.A. degree in Percussion Performance in 1983. In 2011 he completed the Master of Metaphysics Course at Margaret M. Center for Intuitive Arts, followed by a course in sound healing and other areas of healing. Robert has composed and recorded healing music for 3 CD’s using percussion. He is currently Principal Percussionist for Vallejo Symphony, Diablo Symphony, and the Golden Gate Park Band. He is working on a music project using Tuned Quartz Crystal Bowls.
